Muscular Legs
Muscular legs. Or maybe just thick legs... I didn't ask. But since she's a wilderness guide, I'm guessing "muscular."

I Draw Naked People

Warm-up Drawings
Most drawing sessions start with several 2-minute or 5-minute poses. I always think "That's not enough time! I'm gonna ruin a perfectly good clean sheet of newsprint." When I look through the sketchpad drawings later, the crude warm-ups are often more interesting than the longer poses and more detailed drawings.

The Argos Gallery Life Drawing Group
The life drawing group that meets at Eli Levin's Argos Gallery is the longest continuing drawing group in Santa Fe. I first attended drawing sessions in Eli's east side studio in the mid-1980s. I didn't realize that the group had been going all this time without me.
Three-hour drawing sessions are now held at Eli's Argos Gallery on Luisa Street, on Tuesday mornings, Tuesday evenings, Saturday mornings, and Saturday afternoons. If I can get permission from other artists in attendance, I'll photograph some of the other drawings.
